Meet Gabriel!
This puppy is one of a litter of 3 Shepherd mixes. We do not know what they are mixed with, but we believe they will mature around 65-70lbs. They are SUPER sweet and gentle, and would be best suited for active homes that enjoy walking in the park, or playing in the yard. These puppies were turned in by their owner who had them living outside and had not socialized with them at all. Because of this, Gabriel does have some resource guarding issues that will need some attention, and he may be best suited for a single-pet home, or may need to be fed separately from other pets. He does like to pester cats, as he finds them interesting, so he may need to be worked with to teach him to leave the kitties alone if you have them. He does keep his kennel very clean, which is a nice step into being crate and house trained. When they came to us, they were malnourished, loaded with parasites, and were terrified. With daily TLC from our team, good food and medical care, their personalities are starting to shine. They are BEAUTIFUL, and have Shepherd-type coats and long legs.

- Please note that because our shelter is located in southern Illinois, about 3 hours south of Champaign, our animals are available for adoption in Champaign only during scheduled events, and are available in Murphysboro, IL between events, by appointment.

*Complete medical records are available for each puppy at our events and upon adoption.
Adoption fees also help to provide a safe and healthy enviroment for the animals in our program, transportation to our shelter, and transportation to our adoption events or meetings.
